Valencia, CA - OnsiteSenior Engineer, Electrical Test - ATEThe Senior Electrical Test Engineer, in the role of Senior Professional Test and Verification Engineering, performs complex assignments of the engineering test and verification function for hearing systems. The Senior Electrical Test Engineer is responsible for the design and specification and construction of automated test equipment (ATE) to verify the design and the manufacturing of Medical Class III systems, consisting of active implantable and external devices, at AB and/or vendor locations. The Senior Electrical Test Engineer also supports existing test systems and processes deployed in production including support for change notifications and corrective actions. The Senior Electrical Test Engineer continues to review the existing ATE systems and processes to improve the test processes and improve productivity.Responsibilities: Specify, architect, analyze and implement ATE software and hardware associated with next generation cochlear implant systemsDocument all aspects of ATE development (hardware and software) including but not limited to Requirements Specification, Design Description, Test Plan and Test Procedures) Actively apply technical knowledge to innovate in advanced technologies, product design and development, processes, and V&V automation. Actively apply technical knowledge to innovate in advanced technologies, product design and development and processesIdentify and procure new equipment and technologyInvestigate and interpret internal or external technology and business trends and recommend best practices to the organizationAddress ATE issues related to product performance through the Product Lifecycle (Development/Production/Obsolescence). Provide technical support to vendors for troubleshooting issues with test systems.Travelling Requirement: 10% domestic and international travel as required. More about you: Required: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering field or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of experience in electrical test systems, embedded hardware, and software for Class III medical devices; Preferred: Master of Engineering or related field and 10+ years of related experience. Required: Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, self-motivation, decisiveness, adaptability to changing priorities, and the ability to manage competing demands effectively. Required: Highly developed communication skills with the ability to collaborate across and build ad-hoc cross-functional teams. Required: Proven expertise in digital and analog hardware design, troubleshooting test systems, project management, statistical problem-solving and characterization, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while demonstrating strong technical aptitude and learning agility. Preferred: Background in audio digital signal processing, knowledge of ISO 13485 and CFR 820 Title 21, Process Validation experience including IQ, OQ, and PQ, and expertise in GR&R and Measurement System Analysis. Required: English proficiency and strong technical capabilities in LabVIEW, analog and digital electronics, RF, Minitab, DSP, PCB layout, and .NET/C# software development. Preferred: Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD/CLAD) certification and software development experience in Python.A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at SonovaDon't meet all the criteria?
