Senior Metrology Specialist

Job Summary The Senior Metrology Specialist proactively ensures laboratory equipment and instrumentation meet compliance, regulatory, and business requirements while supporting continuity, quality, and operational excellence. What You’ll Be Doing Install, qualify, and onboard new laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and associated control software in accordance with SOPs Perform calibration, verification, preventative maintenance, and lifecycle documentation for validated instrumentation Troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate vendor support for analytical instruments to minimize downtime Partner cross‑functionally with Facilities, IT, Quality, and Supply Chain to support infrastructure, inventory, and compliance needs Develop, maintain, and improve preventative maintenance programs, including risk assessments and gap analyses Serve as subject matter expert during audits and inspections and support resolution of quality incidents and CAPAs Train and mentor employees on equipment use, maintenance practices, and metrology procedures What We Are Looking For Bachelor’s Degree or other equivalent combination of education and experience Four years of experience in a laboratory environment Hands‑on experience in calibration, verification, and repair of measuring and test equipment Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel capability Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree The Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Needed For This Role Ability to troubleshoot complex laboratory equipment and interpret engineering documentation and schematics Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, lead initiatives, and deliver projects to completion Benefits IQVIA puts employees at the center of everything we do and is committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs. Compensation The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $58,800.00 - $122,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job‑related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part‑time).
