Commercial Lines Account Manager

We’re hiring a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a collaborative, high-performing insurance team supporting a strong book of commercial clients. This is not a transactional service role, it’s a relationship-driven position where you’ll partner with Producers and carriers to deliver smart coverage solutions and an exceptional client experience. What You’ll Do Be a key partner to Producers in managing and growing a shared book of commercial clients Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for policy changes, certificates, claims support, and coverage questions Lead renewal preparation 90–120 days ahead of expiration, including reviewing carrier terms and marketing when needed Prepare renewal comparisons and coverage recommendations Analyze policies, contracts, and exposures to ensure clients are properly protected Identify coverage gaps and recommend additional or enhanced solutions Prepare and verify applications, proposals, and policy documents Maintain clean, accurate client records in the agency management system What Success Looks Like Clients feel supported, informed, and confident in their coverage Renewals run smoothly with no surprises Producers view you as a strategic partner The team operates efficiently and collaboratively Why This Role Stands Out You’ll work in a true team environment, not a silo You’ll support quality commercial clients You’ll be valued as a coverage professional, not just an administrator You’ll have ownership, visibility, and career growth Desired Experience The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial insurance account management, with the ability to build client relationships, manage policies efficiently, and provide strategic insurance solutions. 5+ years of experience working in the insurance industry in a similar role. Strong knowledge of policy renewals, quoting, handling claims processing, issuing certificates of liability, and resolving client inquiries. Experience advising clients on policy changes and coverage options to optimize protection. Ability to interpret and analyze contracts to ensure adequate customer coverage. Proficiency in using insurance carrier websites, agency management systems (EPIC strongly desired), and other digital tools for policy management. Strong attention to detail with the ability to compare quotes, analyze data, and make recommendations. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and customer-first mindset. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience participating in client meetings, marketing strategy discussions, and cross-team collaborations.
