Production Assistant – Insomniac We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive Production Assistant to support the Back of House Department of Insomniac’s events. This onsite role reports to the Back of House Manager and requires presence on event sites. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in developing, organizing, and executing festival area operations. Compile and maintain advance documentation for multiple festival areas. Act as vendor liaison, communicating production needs to vendors and internal teams. Support organization of advance documents, set‑up files, and correspondence between vendors and production departments. Assist with executive producer branch documentation and advance credential materials for vendors and staff. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills. Adaptability to fast‑paced, event‑heavy environments. Experience in event planning, management, and coordination. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Problem‑solving attitude with a sense of urgency. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work Environment Exposure to loud noise levels and busy environments. Work may involve drastic temperature climates. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and as required to meet deadlines. Compensation Hourly rate: $16.50–$20.00 (California salary transparency estimate).
