Economic Stability Specialist The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana. Minimum Qualifications Five years of economic stability social services experience; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of economic stability social services experience; OR A bachelor's degree plus two years of economic stability social services experience; OR An advanced degree in a social sciences field, business, public, or health administration plus one year of economic stability social services experience. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties Conduct comprehensive quality control reviews of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) cases to evaluate the accuracy, timeliness, and appropriateness of eligibility determinations and benefit actions. Interview program participants, review case records, verify documentation, resolve discrepancies, and obtain information from collateral contacts to support quality control reviews. Analyze case information to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and procedures governing SNAP eligibility and benefits. Prepare federally required quality control reports and accurately enter review findings into federal reporting systems to support program integrity and compliance. Monitor and evaluate case review results to identify error trends, systemic issues, and opportunities to improve program accuracy and performance. Support the timely completion and submission of federally mandated reviews and documentation to ensure compliance with Food and Nutrition Administration (FNA) reporting requirements. Collaborate with agency staff to develop and support corrective action strategies that strengthen program integrity, improve compliance, and reduce payment errors.
