Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients using comprehensive evaluation techniques to determine their physical therapy needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' medical histories, diagnoses, and functional limitations.
• Implement therapeutic interventions that may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, functional training, and hydrotherapy in both aquatic and land environments.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate daily with healthcare professionals, including physicians and other therapy staff, to align on patient care strategies and share insights on treatment effectiveness.
• Educate patients and their families regarding recovery protocols, injury prevention, and post-treatment care.
• Participate in clinical meetings to enhance skills and contribute to facility protocols and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of patients suffering from various orthopedic conditions. These may include pre and post-surgical patients, individuals recovering from sports-related injuries, those experiencing chronic pain, and patients with lower-level neurological problems. Your expertise will directly influence patients' recovery journeys as you help them regain mobility, enhance strength, and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in California.
• A strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Strong organizational skills to manage patient caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
