Job Title: Registered Nurse – Pediatric Operating Room (OR PEDS)
Pay Rate: $55-$60/hour
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN
Location: Dayton, OH

Position Overview

Alliance Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Operating Room (OR PEDS) to provide safe, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience and 1 year of Epic EMR experience . The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment and collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assist with the preparation of pediatric patients for surgery.
• Perform pre-operative assessments and verify patient information, surgical procedures, consent, and required documentation.
• Assist the surgical team in maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
• Participate in surgical procedures as circulating or other assigned OR nursing responsibilities.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status throughout the perioperative process.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and according to facility protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR .
• Ensure appropriate surgical supplies, instruments, equipment, and medications are available.
• Follow infection-control, surgical safety, medication-safety, and patient-identification protocols.
• Monitor pediatric patients for complications and promptly communicate changes in condition.
• Provide age-appropriate care and communication to pediatric patients and their families.
• Assist with post-operative handoff and transfer of patients to PACU or the appropriate care area.
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience.
• Previous operating room/perioperative experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification .
• PALS certification preferred/required based on facility requirements.
• Strong pediatric assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Compensation
