Starting Pay: $20/hr
Shift: Monday-Thursday 10am-8pm
American Products is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our Operations team. This position is responsible for supporting shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse organization to help keep operations running efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments using the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods
- Create bills of lading and verify shipments against work orders
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and deliveries
- Sort, package, label, and organize inventory and materials
- Deliver materials to appropriate departments and project locations
- Track and resolve shipment issues, including proof of delivery requests
- Support warehouse organization and 5S initiatives
- Participate in weekly cycle counts and inventory control activities
- Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records
- Obtain freight quotes and coordinate shipments
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, hand dollies, and forklifts
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred
- Experience with ERP systems, such as Syteline, is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to work safely and follow all PPE and safety requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment
