Location 37 Memorial Blvd,Newport, RI, 02840,United States Base Pay $25.00 / Hour Employee Type Full-Time Hourly Job Purpose: The Room Supervisor oversees front desk operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise and support front desk staff in daily operations, including check-in/check-out processes, reservations, and guest inquiries. Train, mentor, and evaluate front desk team members to maintain high service standards. Handle guest complaints and issues promptly, resolving them to ensure guest satisfaction. Monitor and manage room inventory, ensuring accurate and efficient allocation of rooms. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences. Implement and maintain front desk procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and service quality. Prepare and manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times. Perform administrative tasks such as reporting, record-keeping, and inventory management. Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere. Performs other duties as assigned Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous front desk or hospitality experience preferred. Familiarity with PMS (Property Management System) software a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a productive pace without sacrificing quality. Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Professional Characteristics : Positive , service-oriented mindset with a natural ability to make guests feel welcome. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Punctual, dependable, and proactive in maintaining cleanliness standards. Approachable and team-oriented with a willingness to assist across departments as needed. Takes initiative and follows through on assignments with minimal supervision. Able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
