IOP Phlebotomist

LabCorp, a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, invites qualified candidates to join our Phlebotomy team in Mobile, AL. The role involves performing blood collections, data entry, and customer service to support patient care. Work Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with a 30‑minute lunch break. Vaccination Requirement : All prospective hires must be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 or qualify for a medical or religious accommodation. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color‑blinding test.
