Clinical Role:

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible Medical Oncologist

• Start date: ASAP - ongoing

• Looking to add 1-2 additional locum providers

• Providers who can cover both day shifts and night call are strongly preferred

• Providers interested in day shifts only will be considered

• Providers available for night call only will not be considered

• Ideal candidates can provide a combination of daytime coverage, overnight call, and weekend 24-hour call as needed

• Day shifts: 8a-4p

• Night call: 4p-8a

• Weekend call: 8a-8a

• 24-hour and night call rates are all-inclusive

• Level I Trauma Center

• APP support available

• Provide direct patient care, including consultations, admissions, and follow-up care

• Conduct hospital rounding as needed

• Collaborate with the in-practice APP on consults, follow-ups, orders, and patient management

• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary cancer team

• Provide continuity of care and collaborate with hospital staff and consulting services

• Coverage is shared among multiple locum providers

• Number of shifts available to each provider will vary based on provider availability, scheduling needs, and the number of providers participating in coverage

• Active or eligible Illinois medical license required

• EPIC EMR experience preferred
