This role offers Monday through Friday day shifts (8-10 hours, starting at 7:30 AM), with no weekend coverage required and support from an Advanced Practice Provider. This is a new practice seeking a provider with a minimum of three weeks of availability to ensure consistency of care. Job Details Location: Illinois Start Date: Mar 2, 2026 LOA: 60 days Provider Type Needed: Medical Oncologist Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-10 hour day shifts (starting at 7:30 AM); no weekend coverage; APP support; PRN Medical Oncologist on-site one week per month Responsibilities and Duties Provide direct patient care including consultations, admissions, and follow-up care Conduct hospital rounding as needed Collaborate with the in-practice Advanced Practice Provider for consults, follow-ups, orders, and patient management Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary cancer team Provide coverage when the PRN Medical Oncologist is not on-site Additional Information Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology required Illinois state medical license required DEA and CSR licensure required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Experience with Epic EMR preferred Minimum of one year of experience required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
