Location: Hunt Valley, MD

Role: Full Time Permanent

Mandatory Skills:

• Data modeling/Data Architecture
• 2-3 years experience, more is a bonus
• Good SQL knowledge
• Worked on any programming language like Java, Python, PL-SQL, hands on currently or max last 1-1.5 year
• Basic understanding of DWH and ETL concepts
• Basic Unix and/or Big Data and/or Mainframe or No SQL database concept will be an advantage

Primary Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of lead information architects, assists with architectural strategic thinking, information solutions, and roadmaps to drive architectural recommendations
• Participates in 'reuse, buy and build' decisions
• Supports maintenance of plans to address significant architecture gaps between current and target state
• Provides information architecture services to project teams
• Ensures architectural compliance of solutions and introduces recommendations for changes to reference models when needed
• Collaborates with business leaders to determine how to best use technology to enable growth and success
• Develops ongoing knowledge of current and emerging technologies includes Big Data
• Identifies new and emerging solutions, assessing relevance and potential value to the organization and presents findings to teammates and management
• Works within a single project to develop, communicate, and mentor others on information design/implementation standards, guidelines and best practices

Technical Qualifications:

• Min 3 year work experience in enterprise and information architecture for data at rest and data in motion for RDB, Non-SQL Big Data DB modeling, ETL, Data Ingestion, Federation and Integration
• Min 5 years experience in application development (data manufacturin, data warehouse, data marts, information delivery)
• ETL (or equivalent) - Ab Initio
• RDMBS (or equivalent) - Teradata/SQL Server
• BI (or equivalent) - Cognos
• Data Analysis – Excel
• Data Visualization Data Design tools - Erwin (or equivalent)
• Relational, Dimensional and No-SQL DB Modeling
• SQL, Java & Python Programming
