About the Facility Location The area surrounding this assignment offers access to a range of historical, cultural, and outdoor attractions suited to varied interests. Notable destinations include Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, a historic university campus, and a walkable downtown mall featuring dining and cultural venues. Clinicians on assignment will find opportunities for outdoor recreation across more than 500 miles of trails in Shenandoah National Park, as well as scenic drives along Skyline Drive, vineyard visits, and day trips to destinations such as Luray Caverns and Lake Anna. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide clinic-based primary care services to an adult psychiatric patient population at an on-site state hospital facility, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no call requirements. The expected caseload is 15-20 patients per day, with clinical responsibilities encompassing the evaluation and management of primary care conditions within a structured psychiatric setting. On-site support includes a full triage staff, psychiatric providers, and other primary care MDs and NPs. Board certification, a state nurse practitioner license, DEA registration, and prescriptive authority are required for this assignment.
