Driver - Kitting (B-shift M-F 2PM-10:30PM)

Position Summary: Under the direction of the shift supervisor and/or the shift team leader, the CDL Shuttle Driver will be responsible for operating a semi-tractor trailer vehicle for the loading and delivery of products to/from the plant to the warehouse in a manner consistent with all safety, quality, and operational work instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safely operating the shuttle vehicle on each trip. Must follow all applicable laws and company policy.
• Responsible for accounting for records involving trailer numbers and position of vehicles.
• Must function and interact on a daily basis with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements.
• Must communicate using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with operations, and warehouse personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
• Must maneuver trucks into loading and unloading position, following signal from loading crew as needed. Also place safety wheel chocks in front of wheel/tire to prevent the trailer from rolling.
• If pup trailer movement is involved; extra care must be taken on the placement of the trailer jack stand (when at dock, jack stand must be on the ground and in a locked position). If there is not a jack stand installed on the trailer the customer must be notified.
• Proper use of Airline/Electrical hookup/and Backing procedure is a must. Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and yard.

Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned. Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have a Class A OR B CDL Minimum 2 years of verified boxtruck or straight truck experience within the past 4 years Must have a clean driving record. Must meet DOT physical requirements and maintain valid medical certificate Must pass road and backing test during onboarding
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations: Satisfactory completion of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for tractor trailer operation.
• Other: Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.

• Other: Must be able to work as assigned outside and in a warehouse environment. Ability to read and follow manufacturer's instruction manuals. Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner. Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.
