SALARY: $2,342.78 - $2,496.69/month ($33.80 - $36/hr) for a 16 hour per week schedule LOCATION: Lynnwood, Washington

DESCRIPTION :

Under the general direction of the Dean of Student Engagement and Support, the Student Conduct Officer at Edmonds College serves as the primary administrator responsible for upholding the institution's Student Code of Conduct and fostering a safe, inclusive, and accountable campus community. Operating under an educational and restorative justice framework, this role manages the intake, investigation, and adjudication of behavioral and academic misconduct allegations. Rather than acting purely in a punitive capacity, the Student Conduct Officer utilizes critical thinking and trauma-informed practices to turn behavioral infractions into opportunities for student development, civil responsibility, and academic retention. This is an exempt temporary/part-time position that reports to the Dean of Student Engagement and Support. Applications received by August 9th, 2026, at 11:59 PST will receive priority consideration. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversee the lifecycle of student conduct cases, from initial incident reporting through investigation, administrative hearings, and the issuance of equitable, educational sanctions Ensure all disciplinary processes strictly adhere to federal and state regulations, including FERPA, Title IX, Clery Act mandates, and Washington Administrative Code (WAC) guidelines governing community colleges Partner closely with Campus Security, Title IX coordinators, and the CARE Team to rapidly respond to high-acuity crises, evaluate campus safety risks, and implement interim measures when necessary Design and deliver campus-wide programming and training for students, faculty, and staff to promote academic integrity, conflict resolution, and a deep understanding of community standards Maintain secure, meticulous documentation of all conduct files within institutional tracking systems (such as Maxient), utilizing aggregate data to identify behavioral trends and recommend proactive institutional interventions. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Administration, or closely-related field Experience with student conduct investigations and adjudicative hearings, or similar investigative and adjudicative hearings experience Excellent listening, problem solving and critical thinking skills Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Knowledge of higher education law (including Title IX, Clery Act), student development, and student judicial programs Knowledge and experience with conflict resolution Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds Experience and ability in working with marginalized and vulnerable populations Ability to professionally interact with and respond to staff, faculty, students, parents, community partners, and administration Proficiency in Google Suites, Maxient, and performing work in databases Ability to multitask in a stressful environment, manage complex situations, and ensure timely communication and follow-up A high degree of personal and professional integrity and respect for confidentiality

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is typically performed in an office setting, and onsite/in-person. The ability to sit at a desk/computer station, bend, stoop, walk and generally move around the office to consult with others, work within a busy environment and remain focused on tasks. Inventory management requires some lifting and moving of objects up to 30lbs. Excellent communication skills are essential. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English and will include communication with people for whom English is not their first language. COMPENSATION:

Salary is $2,342.78 - $2,496.69/month ($33.80 - $36/hr) for a 16 hour per week schedule and is based on the Edmonds College administrative/exempt salary schedule. This temporary position is not eligible for benefits.

WORK SCHEDULE:

This is a 6-month non-permanent position for 16 hours per week. FLSA Status: The position is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act requirements.
