Sourcing Manager

Mission USAG has an immediate opening for a Sourcing Manager. The role is a high‑energy, results‑oriented position that assumes responsibility for sourcing and managing our direct imports supply portfolio. The manager will handle all phases of sourcing, including identifying cost‑saving opportunities, creating competitive environments, negotiating, facilitating contract execution, and managing end‑to‑end product and supplier relationships. Performance Measures Deliver annual cost savings to the business through RFP/Tender execution Execute a multi‑year supplier and country diversification plan Ensure product availability across core product categories Lead supplier negotiations to mitigate cost inflation Leverage sourcing team alignment across US and Global sourcing, quality and engineering resources Responsibilities Develop and manage a sourcing strategy for the assigned product categories Actively manage all aspects of the supplier relationship as the primary relationship owner Design, implement, and execute strategic sourcing initiatives, including supply market analysis, strategy development, request for proposal management, supplier negotiations, and supplier selection Build the organization’s competitive position through continuous improvement in cost, supplier value, and quality Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to identify supply base issues, minimize risk, protect continuity, and exploit emerging opportunities Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers; renegotiate, renew, and discontinue contracts as needed Review and approve a comprehensive list of suppliers for bid processes, ensuring the activation of the best possible supply base Develop a negotiation strategy that delivers against business objectives and establishes sustainable relationships with suppliers Implement supplier agreements/contracts in collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders to reach agreement on terms and conditions Take action to reduce costs by creating greater efficiencies, economies of scale, or better‑quality resources Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline Sourcing or purchasing experience required; automotive industry experience a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated influence, respect, and confidence from others Constructive and effective relationship building Willingness to ask and honestly answer tough questions; fosters open communication and candid discussion Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills Long‑term view while ensuring day‑to‑day delivery of results Proactive; ability to meet aggressive deadlines Capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously Excellent self‑discipline, works under limited supervision Ability to influence and negotiate optimal arrangements with external suppliers Knowledge of legal terminology related to supplier and vendor agreements and contracts Ensures supplier performance meets or exceeds defined standards and adheres to company policies and procedures Experience and Skills Minimum 3‑5 years in Global Sourcing, Supply Chain or Category Management Strong data entry skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to analyze and interpret common accounting procedures Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Works independently and makes decisions in accordance with business practices Handles multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously GPC conducts its business without regard to sex, race, creed, color, religion, marital status, national origin, citizenship status, age, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, disability, military status, status as a veteran, or any other protected characteristic.
