Basic Job Functions:

• Wash Bay Attendants are responsible for keeping C.H.I. fleet tractors and trailers clean and inspection-ready a direct reflection of the quality and professionalism C.H.I. brings to every customer interaction.
• Pick up daily work list at the start of each shift and work independently through assigned tractors and trailers
• Power up water heater, pressure washer, and prepare cleaning materials and wash bay area
• Couple, uncouple, and back trailers into the wash bay using a tractor
• Clean exterior of tractors and trailers using pressure washers, brushes, and approved cleaning agents
• Inspect the exterior of each unit during the wash process and report any damage or maintenance issues to the Wash Bay Team Lead
• Maintain wash bay equipment and area in clean, safe, and operational condition throughout the shift
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 10:00 pm to 6:00 am Sunday Day Shift

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Compensation: $22.29 per hour + $1.00 shift differential + Annual ROA Bonus

ROA Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon company performance each year, up to 33% of annual salary. (Current average at C.H.I. is 33%)

Profit-Sharing 10% of Nucor's pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license
• Preferred Qualifications:
• 1 year experience in general labor
• Previous experience in trailer shop work or wash bays
• Valid CDL driver's license or equivalent experience operating tractors and trailers
