Opportunity:

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week

• Patient ratios: 1:4 during days, 1:5 during nights and weekends

• Every other weekend coverage required

• No call responsibilities

• Float required as needed

• 30-hour orientation provided

• Cannot have blocked schedule

• Must be able to start ASAP

• 2 years of Med Surg experience required

• Telemetry experience preferred but not required

• First-time travelers accepted

• Required to cover pediatric patients as needed (mixed adult-pediatric unit)

• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS

• Preferred certifications: ACLS and CPI

• Oklahoma or compact state license required

• Meditech charting system experience preferred

• Scrub color requirement: blue for nursing staff

• Experience preferred in feeding tube care, IV therapy, and phlebotomy

• Work with patient population from infants through geriatrics

• Handle various diagnoses including CHF, pneumonia, stroke, post-surgical care, and pediatric conditions

• Support available from charge nurse and house supervisor for pediatric patients

This healthcare facility is a 110-bed short-term acute care hospital with Level III trauma designation and voluntary non-profit status. The organization was formed over 45 years ago from the merger of three area hospitals and has grown into a comprehensive healthcare system consisting of two hospitals and 20 provider clinics. The facility offers specialty services including cancer-oncology, wound care, and cardiac care, and is rated as high performing in adult procedures.
