Work Environment This role is primarily home-based, allowing you to work directly within patients' homes in Punta Gorda and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions in their homes, effectively assessing their unique needs and environments. Develop comprehensive, personalized treatment plans that include a variety of interventions such as therapeutic exercises, stretching routines, hands-on therapy, and the use of necessary equipment to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Conduct regular progress assessments and documentation using EMR software, specifically Web PT, ensuring meticulous tracking of treatments, patient responses, and outcomes. Work collaboratively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing education on therapeutic techniques and the correct use of assistive devices to enhance self-care and mobility independence. Engage in continuous professional development by participating in workshops, reviewing current literature, and networking within professional societies to stay abreast of advances in physical therapy. Adapt treatment strategies based on ongoing evaluations, redefining therapeutic goals and approaches as necessary for optimal patient outcomes. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Physical Therapist at Saint Vincent Therapeutics, you will work with a varied patient population encompassing individuals of all ages and backgrounds who are navigating recovery challenges from injuries, surgeries, and other medical conditions. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is essential, supported by an active Physical Therapist license in Florida, free from any history of sanctions or board proceedings. Knowledge of current evidence-based practices in physical therapy and familiarity with EMR documentation processes. Strong communication skills and a passion for working closely with patients to achieve their therapeutic goals. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, reflecting your skills and experience.
