Financial Consultant

Affinity Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Financial Consultant to support public sector (government) projects in Puerto Rico. This role will focus on financial advisory, budget support, internal controls, audit support, and general financial management assistance for government operations. What You’ll Do Review records and assist in the classification of financial transactions. Analyze budget projections, allocations, revenues, expenses, and obligations. Support the preparation and review of budgets, accounting reports, and other financial reports. Provide assistance with accounting processes and general financial management activities. Review policies, procedures, and internal controls related to accounting, budgeting, and financial management. Assist in developing and strengthening internal controls. Support the design, preparation, and follow-up of corrective action plans. Provide technical assistance during internal audits, external audits, monitoring activities, and oversight reviews. Assist with financial matters identified by agency leadership or project management. Provide training or capacity building to staff on financial management practices and processes. What We’re Looking For Experience in financial consulting, accounting, budgeting, or fiscal support, preferably in government or public sector environments. Strong skills in financial analysis, reporting, and documentation review. Knowledge of accounting processes, internal controls, and governmental financial operations. Experience supporting audits, monitoring, or corrective action efforts is a plus. Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
