Special Education Teacher (K-12 Cross-Categorical)

Location: Oshkosh, WI 54901
Schedule: Full-Time
Assignment Dates: October 1, 2026 - June 3, 2027

We are seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered Special Education Teacher to provide services in a K-12 Cross-Categorical setting in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs while working alongside a dedicated team of educators and support staff. The ideal candidate is passionate about individualized instruction, collaboration, and fostering meaningful educational growth.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction designed to meet students' unique academic, behavioral, and functional needs.
• Implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student progress.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications are provided.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Support positive behavioral interventions and classroom management practices.
• Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes student success and independence.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Active Wisconsin Special Education Teaching License or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
• Ability to support students across a variety of grade levels and educational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a school-based special education setting.
• Experience working in a Cross-Categorical program.
• Familiarity with inclusive classroom models and differentiated instruction.
• Background supporting students with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional-behavioral needs, or other exceptionalities.
• Master's Degree in Special Education or a related area.
