Medical Records Clerk Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our team at Elba Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, a premier healthcare provider in Elba, AL. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of patient records while providing exceptional customer service to our patients and staff. Responsibilities: Accurately maintain and update patient medical records, both electronically and in paper format Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information Review and analyze medical records to identify errors, discrepancies, and inconsistencies Develop and implement procedures to improve record-keeping and workflow efficiency Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve medical records-related issues and concerns Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports and statistics for quality improvement and regulatory purposes Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Training or experience in medical records management is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and software Work Environment: Elba Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is a 24/7 facility that requires flexibility and adaptability Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr Elba Rehabilitation and Wellness Center
