Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related area, or equivalent practical experience.
• We are looking for 5–7 years of enterprise experience in IT systems, networking, or site reliability engineering.
• We need strong knowledge of network observability technologies, including SNMP, SNMP Traps, NetFlow, and gNMI.
• We expect hands-on experience with cloud environments such as Azure or comparable platforms.
• We value a solid understanding of enterprise networking protocols.
• We require experience with system capacity planning, functional configuration, and auditing.
• We look for familiarity with system planning and capacity analysis tools.

• We administer and support Windows and Linux virtual machines hosted in Azure, ensuring they meet security and configuration standards.
• We maintain network observability platforms such as syslog-ng and trapd through upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and regular-expression-based rule creation.
• We provide support for IBM SevOne Network Performance Manager and Broadcom AppNeta observability solutions.
• We manage assigned projects and program elements to deliver services aligned with established objectives.
• We identify opportunities to automate work using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• We troubleshoot complex observability configurations, software, and operating systems through routine maintenance.
• We deploy, configure, and manage cloud services on platforms like Azure with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• We implement DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code, to streamline development and release workflows.
• We perform BCDR failover testing where applicable.
• We participate in an on-call rotation as the designated responder.

This is a site reliability engineering role focused on operating enterprise network observability platforms that combine commercial products with internally developed systems ingesting network telemetry. The data these platforms collect helps our network engineers work more efficiently at Microsofts scale.
