Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Shift: Days: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Assignment Details:

• Patient volume: ~210 visits/day

Requirements:

• Ohio RN license required (compact or state license must be in-hand at submission)
• Minimum 2+ years of ER experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI
• Must be comfortable with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma, psychiatric holds, and pediatric emergency care

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department.
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and prioritize care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Offer emotional support and education to patients and families in crisis.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 36 hours
• Float required
• Weekend requirement: every other or every third weekend
• References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 from a manager/director
• RTO required with submission; former employees eligible after 6+ months away; current hospital employees are ineligible for traveler roles at this institution.
