Are you organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?

TMC is seeking a Quality & Safety Administrator to support quality control, workplace safety, compliance, and documentation within a busy commercial print facility. This is a hands-on position that combines administrative responsibilities with regular interaction with production and warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate is someone who pays attention to the details, communicates well with employees and supervisors, and is not afraid to get out on the production floor to identify and address quality and safety concerns.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Quality

• Support the facility's quality control and quality assurance processes.
• Perform and document routine quality inspections and audits.
• Monitor production processes for compliance with established quality standards.
• Track quality issues, defects, rework, and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation.
• Help identify recurring quality issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Follow up on corrective actions to ensure issues are resolved.
• Assist with customer-specific quality requirements and audits.

Safety

• Support the facility's safety program and safety policies.
• Conduct routine safety inspections throughout the production and warehouse areas.
• Identify potential hazards and communicate concerns to supervisors and management.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident documentation, and training records.
• Assist with employee safety orientations and training.
• Track required safety training and certifications.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations.
• Monitor proper use of required PPE.
• Assist with maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and other safety documentation.
• Support emergency preparedness activities and safety drills.

Administration & Reporting

• Maintain organized electronic and paper files.
• Enter and maintain information in spreadsheets and company systems.
• Prepare quality and safety reports for management.
• Track inspections, training, certifications, and corrective actions.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Communicate quality and safety information to supervisors and employees.

Production Floor Support

• Regularly walk the production and warehouse areas to observe operations.
• Work directly with production, warehouse, maintenance, and management teams.
• Learn and understand commercial printing, bindery, finishing, material handling, and shipping processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and consistency.
• Help ensure company procedures are being followed throughout the facility.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, printing, warehouse, quality, or safety preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and follow-through.
• Comfortable working with employees at all levels.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to identify problems and take appropriate action.
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
• Professional, dependable, and safety-conscious.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is not a desk-only position. The Quality & Safety Administrator will spend time both in the office and on the production floor.

The facility may include operating printing equipment, bindery and finishing equipment, forklifts, conveyors, paper products, inks and other production-related materials.

Required PPE must be worn in designated areas, including steel-toed shoes or boots and hearing protection.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and walk throughout the production and warehouse areas.
• Ability to navigate a manufacturing environment safely.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to work around machinery, forklifts, and other production equipment.
• Ability to wear required PPE.
• May be required to work overtime based on business needs.
