Position Summary: The Online Fitting & Support team plays an important role in delivering a best-in-class customer experience to 2nd Swing ecommerce customers. The Online Sales & Equipment Specialist provides knowledgeable, timely, and personalized assistance to golfers through online chat, helping customers navigate product options, make informed purchasing decisions, place custom equipment orders, and resolve questions throughout the buying process. This position is a part-time in-office position located in Eden Prairie, MN. No remote work will be offered. Weekend availability required.

The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of golf equipment, experience in golf retail or equipment sales, and the ability to confidently recommend products based on customer needs. This individual communicates effectively, manages multiple customer conversations independently, and delivers exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with golfers through online chat to provide knowledgeable product recommendations and exceptional customer service.
• Help customers identify golf equipment that aligns with their needs, preferences, and playing ability.
• Answer detailed questions about equipment specifications, product condition, pricing, and availability.
• Assist customers with custom equipment orders, including product specifications and ordering details.
• Support customers throughout the purchasing process, including questions about orders, shipping, returns, and trade-ins.
• Independently resolve complex customer inquiries and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.
• Coordinate with manufacturers to address warranty questions and product concerns.
• Build customer relationships through responsive, personalized, and solutions-focused service.
• Stay current on golf equipment technology, product releases, and industry trends.
• Share product knowledge and best practices with teammates and contribute to team goals.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of retail, hospitality, customer service, or related experience.
• Demonstrated experience handling complex transactions and communicating policies.
• Strong de-escalation, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
• Confident, professional communication style and a hospitality-focused approach to customer service.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple systems efficiently.
• Working knowledge of golf equipment and terminology, or the ability to quickly develop that knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous ecommerce, online sales, or live chat support experience.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Microsoft 365, UKG, Counterpoint, Braintree, Affirm, or PayPal.
• Experience with club fitting or golf equipment fitting.
• OEM certifications from golf equipment brands.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work part-time hours, including weekends.
• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and bending.
• Comfortable working in a office setting.

Job Type: Part-time, seasonal

Compensation: $20$26 per hour, based on previous experience.
