Job Description Red Wagon Therapy has a rewarding employment opportunity for a licensed Early Childhood Special Educator (ECSE) who is passionate about working with children ages birth to five in the home, daycare, and school environment. This role would be a great fit for a provider who has a play-based approach, knowledge and expertise across developmental domains, and is dedicated to parent empowerment. The ECSE must reside within the Denver Metro area and will be responsible for adhering to the Early Intervention guidelines and documentation requirements. Our ideal ECSE will possess strong organization, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ECSE will actively develop collaborative relationships with individuals, families, providers, and other community partners. This role requires collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) for children on their caseload. This is a community-based part- to full-time position with complete autonomy over your schedule. We will provide support and continued mentorship, as well as opportunities to learn from a multidisciplinary team. Pay Starting at $60 per hour Responsibilities Maintain a self-directed caseload and all child/family communications Provide high quality ECSE services in natural environments Monitor child progress and adjust intervention as necessary Maintain accurate documentation of child evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes Educate families about intervention plans, exercises, and adaptive techniques Conduct multi-disciplinary evaluations to determine eligibility for Early Intervention Services and complete all required documentation Attend and participate in IFSP and care coordination meetings Develop and implement IFSPs to meet individualized family or child outcomes Perform consultative visits either alone or in consultation with other team members as appropriate Provide accurate and timely documentation Use the Primary Service Provider Model to team with other disciplines, service coordinators, and caregivers to develop and implement functional goals and strategies to enhance the child’s development Submit billing and supporting documentation timely Requirements Active CDE license with Special Education Endorsement Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited program Pediatric, Early Intervention or school based experience Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and proof of motor vehicle insurance Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work Must be able to meet physical demands, including bending or twisting of the body, lifting, standing time, and sitting time, to include floor play/therapy, etc. Preferred Knowledge of rules and regulations for Early Intervention Experience working in Early Intervention or with pediatric populations Additional experience in an area directly related to job assignment Training based on needs and interest A supportive work environment Autonomy over caseload and schedule Growth opportunities Professional Insurance FAMLI coverage This is a part-time to full-time opportunity and is an in-home/ in-school/ community based itinerant position in the Denver Metro area.
