Accounting Assistant

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team in Minneapolis, MN, 55414. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our accounting department by managing daily accounts receivable, weekly/bi-weekly payroll, and other financial tasks ensuring accurate record-keeping. If you have a passion for numbers and a knack for organization, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices and payments. Create monthly statements and distribute to customers. Investigate debit memos taken by customers. Works with Quality and Sales to create credits for RMA's. Respond to inquiries from vendors and clients regarding billing and payments. Runs aging reports frequently and makes necessary collection calls. Assists with customer onboarding collecting ST-3's, W-9's and credit applications. Payroll processing on a weekly/bi-weekly basis and related tasks. Generates and posts G/L payroll entries on a monthly basis. Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes. Assists the Accounting/HR departments with various special projects. Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Proven experience as an accounting assistant or in a similar role with two - four years experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with UKG payroll software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven ability to work with confidential information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
