Stenographer (Remote – Freelance) We are continuously seeking skilled Stenographers to join our UK team. The UK Group comprises eScribers Limited and Marten Walsh Cherer Limited, operating independently within the Group. Successful candidates contract with eScribers Limited and may engage with one or both entities. General Qualifications Reside in the UK Be legally entitled to work in the UK Be an experienced Court Reporter Have a current UK bank account to receive payment Have an excellent understanding of the English language, grammar, punctuation, etc. Be proficient with technology and producing high-standard documents Be comfortable researching case information/references on the Internet Be committed to high-quality transcription with complete and accurate final transcripts Meet deadlines and communicate effectively to deliver the best service Computer/IT Requirements Own Stenograph machine and associated equipment Commitment to high data security standards Other advantages BIVR accreditation or other related industry certification Ability to produce transcripts in Word format What eScribers offers Competitive rates A friendly and supportive working environment Constructive feedback to promote career development A focus on quality and on-time delivery Basis of Engagement Successful applicants are offered a freelancer contract and are compensated on agreed rates. As independent contractors, they submit invoices for work completed and are paid via direct deposit. Freelance work volume can fluctuate and there is no guaranteed level of work. Onboarding Onboarding includes an interview, submission of documentation, completion of required paperwork, and familiarisation with the freelancer portal.
