Sanitation Technician

Summary The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, dishes, and other facility equipment. The role ensures all areas remain safe, clean, and presentable, facilitating smooth pre‑operations and maintaining compliance with GMPs. Duties and Responsibilities Perform cleaning based on current SOPs, including dishes, floors, walls, sinks, tables, trash, and pest control stations. Maintain accurate records tracking inventory and sanitation supplies. Stay current on new equipment and sanitation techniques to improve overall quality. Communicate and respond to inquiries from various company levels. Notify the manager of repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment issues through daily inspections. Conduct routine service and maintenance on sanitation equipment (e.g., sweepers, scrubbers). Operate sweepers, scrubbers, pressure washers, and other custodial equipment. Mix and use chemicals related to cleaning and sanitizing. Assist in production jobs as needed. Adhere to WYLD processes, GMPs, and safety practices. Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs. Qualifications Experience with sanitation tools, chemicals, and standard sanitation equipment. Ability to follow written or oral instructions accurately. Computer skills: Microsoft Suite, Google, Slack, Jira (preferred). Effective verbal and written communication in English. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Occasional travel between buildings and sites. Confidentiality management. Must be 19 years or older (state regulations). WorkSafe, ServSafe, or Food Handler’s Card preferred. Background check required. Must obtain all applicable state‑required permits, licenses, and certifications. Benefits Hourly rate of $22.00–$26.55, paid biweekly. Overtime, 11 paid holidays, 80 hours of PTO, 401(k), and fully paid health, dental, and vision insurance.
