Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor and delivery.
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs throughout labor.
Assist in the delivery of newborns and provide immediate post-delivery care to both mother and baby.
Administer medications and perform medical procedures as needed within the scope of practice.
Educate patients and their families about childbirth, recovery, and newborn care.
Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
Ability to float within the facility as needed.
First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Successful completion of a clinical screening is required.

Schedule and Compliance:

Position requires every other weekend availability.
One 12-hour shift per scheduled week (Night shift: 19:00 - 07:00).
Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO).
Full compliance is required for timely onboarding; non-compliance may result in delays.

Holiday Commitment:

Travelers are expected to work holidays during their assignment period based on the following guidelines:

If one major holiday falls within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it.
If two major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work both.
If three major holidays fall within the period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

Major holidays include:

Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving/Black Friday
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
