Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed intermediate/observation unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Manage patients presenting with conditions including anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, and pre/post-operative urology and GI cases
• Administer and monitor cardiac and medical drips including Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Insulin, and Heparin
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips; complete an EKG competency exam during compliance onboarding
• Manage a high volume of admissions and discharges with average patient stays up to 48 hours
• Float to inpatient units including IMC and CTU as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification — AHA or ARC required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification highly preferred
• Background in observation, medical-surgical, or telemetry units
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Adaptable, resilient, and able to maintain a positive attitude through frequent shift-to-shift changes
