Job Description

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school-based team in the Oneonta, Louisiana area. We partner with school districts nationwide to connect exceptional education professionals with meaningful opportunities where they can make a lasting impact on students. Our team specializes in supporting school-based clinicians with rewarding assignments, professional resources, and dedicated support throughout their placement.

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate SLP to provide evaluation, therapy, consultation, and communication support to students in a school-based setting.

Job Duties

Evaluate students to identify speech, language, and communication needs
Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
Provide direct speech and language therapy
Complete assessments and progress documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
Provide evidence-based interventions
Monitor student progress and modify treatment strategies
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Follow state, district, and federal requirements

Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Valid Louisiana Speech-Language Pathologist license through the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, or eligibility to obtain licensure
Appropriate Louisiana Department of Education credential/authorization for school-based practice, as required by the assignment
Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligibility for the applicable supervised Clinical Fellowship pathway
Completion of required supervised clinical experience
Knowledge of IDEA and school-based service delivery
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
