Physical Therapist Assistant, Home Health, Full Time Adventist Health – Tualatin, OR Our home health and hospice agencies serve the entire community across California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington and offer personalized in‑home care. Job Summary Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, including the use of modalities, manual techniques, and common exercise techniques. Instructs and guides patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance activities. Works under minimal supervision and may mentor and train staff on technical skills. Job Requirements High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred Two years' technical experience: Preferred Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or outpatient setting: Preferred Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required Valid Driver's License (DL) and at least 21 years of age or older: Required Essential Functions Performs physical therapy treatments, including modalities, manual techniques, and exercise techniques. Instructs patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance activities. Observes and follows treatment precautions as identified by physical therapists, nurses, or physicians. Reports changes in patient responses to nurses and physical therapists. Provides daily and timely patient chart documentation of interventions and services in the acute care setting. Provides education and training to patients and caregivers, incorporating learning style preferences and assessing responses. Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
