Inpatient Physical Therapist

Hours: 40 hrs/week, Shift options: 7:0015:30 or 8:0016:30, Weekend requirement: 3 weekend days per 6-week schedule.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year PT experience
• Kansas PT license required at time of submission
• Required certification: BLS
• Charting system experience preferred (Epic listed)
• Key clinical skills: Acute care and inpatient evaluation/treatment, Orthopedics (post-op joint replacements, hip fractures), Neuro (stroke rehab, Parkinson's), Amputee care, post-op cardiac care, Mobility and transfers, Plan of care, reassessments, patient/family education, home exercise programs, Vitals and monitoring in inpatient setting

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients across various units including ED, Ortho/Spine, Rehab, Telemetry, and Med-Surg
• Provide care to adult and geriatric patient populations with common diagnoses such as THA/TKA/TSA, hip fractures, spine surgeries, CVA/post-stroke, Parkinson's, lower-extremity amputations, and CABG
• Manage a therapy census of approximately 50 patients with an average of 7 visits per day
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Therapy, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, and Transportation
• Float to similar units as needed with brief orientation provided
