We are currently recruiting for a Senior Director of Marketing & Communications to join our client's team in Frederick, MD. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced marketing and communications professional who can lead strategy, manage a team, and drive multiple initiatives from concept through execution.

About the Opportunity

This position will oversee marketing and communications strategy while leading a team of marketing professionals. The Senior Director will develop integrated campaigns, strengthen brand strategy, evaluate performance, and ensure marketing initiatives support broader organizational goals.

The successful candidate will be strategic and hands-on, able to lead a team while staying involved in projects, messaging, campaigns, and day-to-day priorities.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies.

• Establish goals, KPIs, and measurement frameworks to evaluate marketing performance.

• Analyze campaign results and turn data into actionable recommendations.

• Lead brand strategy and ensure consistency across communications and marketing channels.
\n
• Oversee digital marketing, social media, web content, advertising, and other communications initiatives.
\n
• Guide the development, editing, and proofreading of marketing and promotional materials.
\n
• Manage multiple high-priority projects and organization-wide initiatives simultaneously.
\n
• Develop and manage marketing budgets and resources.
\n
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
\n
• Oversee vendors and outside resources as needed.
\n
• Present marketing performance, recommendations, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
\n
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of marketing and communications professionals.
\n
• Establish goals and priorities, provide performance feedback, and support professional development.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, technology, and overall team efficiency.
\n
• Stay current on emerging marketing trends and identify opportunities to incorporate new strategies and tools.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
\n
• 10+ years of progressively responsible marketing experience.
\n
• Previous experience managing and developing a team.
\n
• Strong background developing and executing marketing strategies.
\n
• Experience managing multiple complex projects and deadlines.
\n
• Strong budget management experience.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
\n
• Ability to translate data and performance metrics into business recommendations.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
\n
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
\n
• Strong judgment, flexibility, and attention to detail.
