Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

The candidate will learn the names of the stocks, read job tickets, and perform calculations to determine the necessary amount of material for the press jobs. Responsibilities also include unloading and loading semi-trucks and occasionally assisting with inventory. This is a physically demanding job.Use manual and electronic pallet jacks to move materials, with the potential for forklift training and certification if the position becomes permanent.

Responsibilities

• Learn and recognize the names of stocks.

• Read and interpret job tickets.

• Perform mathematical calculations to determine material requirements for press jobs.

• Unload and load materials from semi-trucks.

• Assist with inventory management.

• Operate manual and electronic pallet jacks.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in mathematics.

• 3+ years of experience in inventory management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on mechanical experience.

• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day.

• Creativity and machine operating skills.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate controlled. The dress code includes jeans, close-toed shoes, and a clean t-shirt. The shift is from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
