Registered Nurse – Oncology

Matthews, NC | Outpatient Oncology/Infusion Clinic

Contract | Days | 5×8-hour shifts (7:45–17:15) | Expected 40 hours/week | 13-week contracts | No weekends | No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients (18+) with hematology and medical oncology diagnoses in an ambulatory infusion setting
• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments; ONS Chemo/Bio Certification required
• Manage and maintain central line access throughout patient infusion visits
• Operate ambulatory infusion pumps and utilize unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 and collaborate with pharmacy/mixing technicians who handle all medication preparation
• May be required to float between two nearby clinic locations (approximately 14 miles apart)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of oncology-specific nursing experience
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification (Card A) required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Central line experience required
• Must provide own stethoscope
• Must be available for all orientation classes during the first week; no time-off requests permitted during the first week

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred
• Prior experience with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
