Float A&P Mechanic - Rotor Wing FULL-TIME Opportunity in New York Starting Salary: $65,239 - $113,480 annually Float Stipend: $12,500 IA Stipend: $2,080 Sign-On Bonus: $12,500 We’re hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our EC135 airframe and play a key role in ensuring our team can safely maintain and deliver timely, high‑quality transportation services to patients. Responsibilities Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician. Manage inventory checks to ensure a stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests, and document part expenditures. Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required, adhering to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew. Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination between departments, vendors, and team members. Work collaboratively and professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow AMTs and the operations team. Minimum Required Qualifications EC135 Maintenance experience Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience, with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license Valid state‑issued Driver’s license High School diploma or GED equivalent Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support, and planning Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on‑call rotations Acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
