Product Manager - Automotive BOM & 3D EXPERIENCE

Job Title : Product Manager – Automotive BOM & 3D EXPERIENCE Duration: 6+ Months Rate: $55-65/hr on Vendor W2- MAX- Depends on experience. Location: 17000 Rotunda Drive, Dearborn, MI 48120 (Onsite) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic Product Manager to lead the modernization and migration of Automotive Bill of Materials (BOM) processes into the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) platform. This individual will be responsible for driving the transition away from legacy PLM/BOM systems and establishing a unified, 3DX-native BOM solution. This role sits at the intersection of Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, and Data Migration and requires someone who can balance technical platform capabilities with large-scale business transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Migration Strategy & Co-Existence Roadmap Define and execute the product roadmap for migrating legacy automotive BOM data and processes into 3DEXPERIENCE. Develop and manage co-existence strategies between legacy systems and 3DX to ensure uninterrupted support for vehicle programs. Establish criteria and plans for decommissioning legacy BOM applications. Automotive BOM Solutioning & Configuration Management Own the product vision for vehicle structures, options, variants, and marketing rules within 3DX. Design processes for managing 150% Over-Complete BOMs and generating accurate 100% Configured BOMs. Define integration standards between CAD, EBOM, MBOM, and ERP systems (SAP preferred). Drive Engineering Change Management (ECR/ECO) and effectivity management processes. Data Migration, Quality & Governance Partner with Data Migration and IT teams to define data mapping, transformation, and cleansing strategies. Establish data quality metrics and validation frameworks to ensure successful migration outcomes. Agile Product Delivery & Stakeholder Management Manage and prioritize product backlogs, epics, and user stories within Jira. Partner with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and vehicle program teams. Promote adoption of Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) 3DEXPERIENCE functionality to minimize customization and maximize platform supportability. Business Readiness & Change Management Lead the organizational transition from legacy BOM processes to a modern 3DX environment. Support training, documentation, user adoption, and hyper-care activities for phased rollouts. Required Experience 7+ years of Product Management and/or Delivery Management experience. Experience leading large-scale PLM, BOM, or digital transformation initiatives. Strong understanding of automotive product structures, configuration management, and engineering change processes. Experience with Dassault Systems 3DEXPERIENCE strongly preferred. Familiarity with Teamcenter, Windchill, SAP, or other PLM/BOM platforms. Agile delivery experience and proficiency with Jira.
