Assistant Production Supervisor-FF Full Time Indirect Labor Chicago, IL, US 2 days ago Requisition ID: 1203 Salary Range: $30.00 To $34.00 Hourly Assistant Production Supervisor Job Title: Assistant Production Supervisor Company: Fotofab Department: Production / Manufacturing Reports To: Production Supervisor Location: Onsite Employment Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Effective/Revision Date: 9/11/2026 Role Purpose The Production Supervisor Assistant supports the Production Supervisor in coordinating daily manufacturing operations, maintaining production flow, and ensuring that quality, safety, efficiency, and delivery requirements are met. This position assists with employee coordination, production tracking, material and equipment needs, and communication between production and other departments. The Production Supervisor Assistant serves as a key support resource to the production team and helps ensure that established procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and company standards are consistently followed . Key Responsibilities Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures, work instructions, and company policies Assist the Production Supervisor with daily production activities and priorities Support a safe, organized, and productive manufacturing environment Communicate production concerns, delays, and operational issues to the Production Supervisor Assist in ensuring wastewater system operations comply with Mass DEP permit guidelines Support daily operations including start-up and shut-down procedures Document system changes, chemical dosing, set-point adjustments, maintenance activities, and operational issues Help track production progress and identify potential delays or bottlenecks Assist with coordinating rework orders and production priorities Help maintain accurate production records and documentation Assist with monitoring production flow and identifying operational issues Support the Production Supervisor with equipment, chemical, and production-related activities Assist with coordinating equipment maintenance and chemical changes as directed Monitor production areas for proper workflow, organization, and adherence to procedures Assist with waste handling and disposal activities in accordance with established procedures Assist with training and onboarding new employees on production procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements Communicate employee questions, concerns, attendance issues, and performance-related matters to the Production Supervisor Communicate production updates and issues to the Production Supervisor and appropriate departments Assist with communication between Production, Sales, Engineering, Quality, and other departments Help coordinate the resolution of production-related issues Support new product introduction and production readiness activities as directed Provide information and production status updates when requested Education High school diploma or equivalent required Associate’s degree or technical training preferred Prior manufacturing or production experience preferred Previous lead, team lead, or supervisory experience preferred Experience in PCB, electroplating, photo-chemical etching, metal processing, or a related manufacturing environment strongly preferred Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production operations Understanding of workplace safety and chemical handling procedures Ability to read and follow work orders, production instructions, and procedures Basic understanding of production planning and scheduling Strong teamwork and leadership skills Equal Opportunity Employer Equal Opportunity Employer: Disability/Veteran This position may include access to information that is subject to U.S. export controls.
