Physical Therapist (PT)

Position Overview

Two Physical Therapists are needed for 13-week assignments providing acute and inpatient therapy coverage. One opening is ASAP start , and the second begins 09/21 . Rotating Saturday coverage is required. Candidates must have strong acute care and inpatient experience and be comfortable working across a fast-paced hospital environment.

Assignment Details

• Modality: Physical Therapist

• Openings: 2

• Schedule: 8 AM–5 PM

• Days: Monday–Friday + rotating Saturday

• Hours per Week: 40

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Start Dates: ASAP & 09/14/2026 (second PT starts 09/21)

• Charting System: Cerner

• Interview: Phone interview

• Shift Cancellation Policy: 1 shift every 4 weeks

• Caseload: Acute + inpatient

Responsibilities

• Provide acute and inpatient physical therapy services

• Perform evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

• Document care accurately in Cerner

• Support patient mobility, safety, and functional recovery

• Rotate Saturday coverage as assigned

Required Experience & Certifications

• Acute and inpatient experience required

• Active PT license (California)

• Cerner experience preferred

Facility Details

• Orientation: Every other Wednesday

• Staff work two day-shift shifts during orientation week

• Orientation week = Week 0 (not part of 13-week contract)

• File Due Date: One week before start

• No pushed starts allowed

• First Day Instructions: Provided via FDI templates

• Dress Code: Any color scrubs except orange or white

• Timekeeping: MaxView Timeclock

• Additional Notes: Acute care environment with emergency, trauma, surgery, OB, pediatrics, NICU, and chronic disease management. Nearby housing: Manteca, Lodi, Galt, Modesto.

Compensation

Local Physical Therapist

Weekly Pay Package: $3080/week Hourly Pay: $77/hr

The Physical Therapist is responsible for performing patient evaluations, as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual patient and physician’s orders when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice

• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy

• One (1) year of prior professional Physical Therapy experience preferred

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
