Scientist, TS/MS - Device Assembly

Role Overview We are building a new state‑of‑the‑art Parenteral, Device Assembly, and Packaging Facility located in Concord, North Carolina. This Scientist position supports the implementation of technical objectives through execution activities and partnership with device assembly operations and engineering teams. Responsibilities Support the Device Assembly Process Team as TS/MS representative and serve as floor‑level technical interface for device components, equipment, and operations. Provide technical support to non‑routine investigations (deviations, complaints), including consultation on quality and stability issues. Represent the Concord TS/MS team for internal and external communications. Lead risk management activities related to product/process. Prepare and review relevant technical documents such as Change Controls, Regulatory Submissions, Deviations, Validations, Protocols, Procedures, PFDs, and pFEMAs. Develop, monitor, and react to statistically based metrics in real time to assess process variability and capability. Identify opportunities and lead technical projects to improve process control and/or productivity. Serve as interface with upstream suppliers and global device/drug product networks. Drive stability strategy for Concord products and provide audit support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (preferred) with 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing organization. Pharmaceutical and/or medical device manufacturing experience. Root‑cause investigation experience. Ability to work independently or as part of a team to resolve issues. Strong attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Veeva Vault, TrackWise, electronic batch records, and SAP. Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Strong self‑management and organizational skills. Location & Schedule Monday through Friday. Base in Concord, NC. Flexibility for production schedules, shutdowns, extended hours, or off‑hour work may be required. Occasional travel to Indianapolis and other global Lilly sites. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $66,000 – $171,600.
