Server Position at The Village at Germantown

Are you a high school or college student with a passion for customer service and a friendly demeanor? The Village at Germantown is seeking dynamic individuals to join our team as Servers in the Dining Department! Under the supervision of the Dining Room Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our residents and their guests.

Essential Functions:

• Courteous and Professional Service: Provide courteous, knowledgeable, and professional service at all times when serving customers in the dining rooms.
• Pre-opening and Closing Duties: Perform pre-opening and closing checklist duties as assigned by the Host/Hostess to ensure a smooth operation.
• Table Set-up and Maintenance: Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order to create a welcoming dining environment.
• Order Taking and Service: Take food and beverage orders and provide efficient service to residents and guests in all dining venues.
• Customer Service Excellence: Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service by addressing resident and guest needs promptly and professionally.
• Table Clearing and Dish Assistance: Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service and assist with dishwashing and clean china distribution when needed.
• Safety and Sanitation: Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in work areas, adhering to department standards for personal hygiene and uniform guidelines.
• Cleaning Tasks: Complete all assigned cleaning tasks before the end of each shift to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Policy and Procedure Adherence: Follow outlined Policies and Procedures for the Dining Services Department to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Customer Concerns Reporting: Alert a supervisor promptly regarding any concerns or problems pertaining to the customer.
• Training Participation: Attend in-service training seminars as scheduled to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or currently enrolled in high school or college.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
