Category Transportation and Logistics Location Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Job function Operations Job family Logistics/Couriers Shift Day Employee type Regular Full-Time Work mode On-site Job Description Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) Location: Oklahoma City, OK Hours: Float Position; Hours Vary based on Business Need (day, evening, night or weekend shifts) Essential Functions: * Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift * Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities * Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday * Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment Responsibilities: * Primary duty is to perform basic route services as required. * Pick up specimens and verify, within established parameters, that the test requisitions have been filled out correctly and that the specimens have been submitted properly. * Deliver specimens to designated laboratory/distribution site using appropriate handling, storage, and transportation methods, including the use of transport containers, dry ice, cold packs, etc., to maintain specimen integrity. * Establish and maintain positive client relations. * Complete and submit all administrative forms such as daily route logs, Client Concern forms, supply requisitions and special transportation forms. * Help with the packing of specimens for transport to the Core Laboratory. * Maintain compliance with all safe driving regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures as established by government agencies and company policies. * Adhere to DLO policies and procedures, including attendance, compliance and safety. Qualifications: Required Experience: Proficient in verbal communication with internal and external contacts. Customer oriented with excellent interpersonal skills. Previous Medical Laboratory experience is a plus. Special Requirements: * Valid driver's license with a good driving record. * Participate in growth and development of the department. * Reflects the company's values in all aspects of performance. * Must be a team player. * May be called upon to perform duties other than listed in job description. * Overtime may be required with business needs. Physical and Mental Requirements: * Position requires travel * Extensive use of phone and handheld device (PC) * Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements, weekends, holidays, on call and overtime. * Prolonged standing/sitting/walking/driving * Fine dexterity with hands/steadiness * Able to lift up to 25 pounds; may occasionally need to lift 40 pounds; carrying up to 15 pounds for several minutes at a time * Ability to communicate effectively in English with clients, supervisors and peers * Vision-requires constant mental visual attention to details as well as ability to see well in limited light scenarios * Balancing * Bending/kneeling * Pushing/pulling * Reaching/twisting 60645 Quest Diagnostics honors our service members and encourages veterans to apply.
