Team members contribute directly to maintaining quality housing and supporting a seamless experience for both owners and residents.Role Description This is a 1099 handyman role based in Indianapolis, IN. The handyman is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair work on residential rental properties, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC-related tasks within their scope of experience. Daily responsibilities include responding to work orders, completing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues reported by residents, and documenting all work performed. The role also involves coordinating with the property management team, ensuring repairs are completed promptly, following safety standards, and maintaining a professional, respectful presence in occupied homes.QualificationsDemonstrated experience with general maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance troubleshooting.Ability to use hand and power tools safely, follow maintenance schedules, and read simple work orders or manuals.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple service requests.Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with residents, owners, and team members.Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and reliably complete tasks with minimal supervision.Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel between properties within the Indianapolis, IN area and surrounding counties.Physical ability to lift moderate weights, climb ladders, and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and reaching.Previous residential maintenance or handyman experience preferred; familiarity with rentalproperty operations is a plus.
