Performs preventative repair & maintenance services to Arc facilities. Performs period emergency repair services on evenings and weekends.


The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of The Arc of Monroe's properties. This role ensures that all facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained to support the organization's mission and daily operations. The technician responds to maintenance requests, completes preventive maintenance tasks, and assists with minor renovation and repair projects as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent with 4-6 years of experience demonstrating a strong combination of skills across multiple skilled trades, including painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC.

Licensure/Certification

• Valid NYS Driver's License required. Availability of insured personal vehicle to transport self, as necessary.

Computer Skills

• Basic Computer Literacy is evidenced by the ability to go online and conduct basic searches on the Internet, check his/her email account, create and send e-mail with an attachment and use simple email features. Can open spreadsheets and word processing documents to read and make simple edits.
