Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,433 - $2,536 per week Guaranteed hours: 35 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8 days, 08:00-16:30 (approximately 8.5 hours per day) Start date: August 31, 2026 Work setting: acute care continuum in a long-term care context in Waterville, ME Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders across the patient population served Screen patients and establish or adjust therapeutic goals in collaboration with patients, families, and the care team Develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, and document progress and outcomes Provide direct therapy and consult with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, strategies to support communication, and swallowing safety Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record and comply with regulatory and facility guidelines Requirements Current license to practice Speech Language Pathology or eligibility to obtain licensure in the practice location Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (standard entry requirement for the role) Experience in acute care or similar healthcare settings preferredAbility to work 35 hours per week for the 13-week assignment and fulfill the listed shift Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours Competitive weekly pay Assignment support from a dedicated recruiter and travel team Travel-related assistance and ongoing assignment support
