BK Systems, Inc., part of the Altus Fire & Life Safey family of companies, located in Pembroke, NH is looking for an Fire Alarm Technician to join our team!

Hourly Rate: $40.00/hour - $45.00/hour Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and program Fire Alarm Control Panels following blueprints of system layout.
• Installation and commissioning of Security, Apartment Entry, Area of Refuge, and CCVT systems.
• Inspect and test system to ensure all components are working as intended.
• Demonstrate system functions and interactions to customers.
• Provide technical assistance with Fire Alarm Control Panel and all peripheral devices.
• Demonstrate exceptional troubleshooting skills to return various building systems to working condition.
• Compose and submit documentation and reports for each installation or repair visit, complying with company standards.
• Stay up to date with codes, software, and equipment updates.
• Document all deficiencies discovered during a service call.
• Work with office staff to coordinate return for service as needed.
• Work with Test & Inspection teams to provide professional and thorough customer service.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman's license or NICET is preferred.
• A self-motivated attitude is necessary.
• Must perform neat and professional work.
• Ability to stay organized and complete paperwork in a timely manner.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise in Microsoft Excel and Work.
• Regular attendance is expected.
